TEACHING WITH 21st CENTURY TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE: POSTER DISPLAY and ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS

The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) will be hosting its first Teaching with 21st Century Technology Showcase from April 14-16, 2014 (between12 noon to 2 p.m. each day). The technology showcase is designed to provide an opportunity for faculty to share how they have integrated technology into their teaching on The UWI, Mona Campus. The event will showcase exemplary cases of teaching with technology, and through the sharing of best practices, inspire faculty to use technology in innovative ways.

The showcase will take the form of :
1.     A Poster Display allowing faculty to meet with their peers and where possible, presenters can demonstrate their classroom innovations and

2.     Roundtable Discussions of actual teaching strategies using 21st century technology tools.

The organizing committee will review the papers for the round table and the posters for the exhibition. Prizes will be offered for the best poster and the best roundtable paper/presentation.

We therefore extend this call for abstracts. This abstract might take the form of a brief description of your presentation and this should be in no more than 200 words for both types of presentations, the Poster Display and the Roundtable Discussion. We invite faculty to submit their abstracts to the CETL by March 21, 2014. For more details please contact us at cetl@uwimona.edu.jm or call us at 935-8341 or ext. 2341. We look forward to hearing from you.
