Professor Beverley Bryan, a Professor of Linguistics in Department of Educational Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Education at the University of the West Indies, Mona, was the moderator for the recently concluded Jamaica Partners for Educational Progress E-Discussion, EduExchange, held between January 10 and 12. Members were invited to characterize the language situation, identify language goals and factors that prevent achievement of these goals as well as strategies for developing target language competence in primary schools.
