Welcome to the inaugural Partners for Educational Progress CoP EduExchange! The online discussion forum will start Tuesday, September 21, 2010, and will address the role of the school in improving student performance in challenging contexts. Elaine Foster Allen, Immediate Past Chief Inspector of Education and Principal Shortwood Teachers' College, will moderate the three-day discussion, which covers the following topics:

Tips for Participation:
On the first day participants will exchange ideas on the role of teacher expectation in the performance of students in high poverty schools.
On day 2 we will turn our attention to the operational issues.
Acknowledging that research has shown that parental involvement in their child’s education is a critical link in achieving high quality education and a safe and disciplined environment for every child efforts and plans have been made to raise the level of parental involvement across schools in Jamaica.
