A consolidated database of student assessments of Teaching and Courses for all Rotations in the Clinical MBBS programme from 2006 to the present has been produced by Mr. Nigel Lawrence, Planning Officer in the DPO. This print-out will facilitate staff, especially Heads and the Dean, in their analysis and interventions for enhancing the learning process.

Heritage Project underway

Design work has started on the reconstruction of three dwellings of enslaved on the Papine Estate, in the area of Aqueduct Flats. The Project is being funded in large part by the Tourism Enhancement Fund.

Sports Scholarships awarded

Twelve new sports scholarships have been awarded for the 2009/10 academic year: 5 in Football and seven in Track and Field, all to students entering UWI this year. This adds to the 19 sports scholarship awarded last year ( 11 in Football and 8 in Track and Field), and underscores the intention of the Campus to build these two areas as areas of excellence.

Law Bursaries awarded

Up to August 20, some fifty Bursaries have been awarded to students entering the new full-fee-paying 3-year LLB. programme to be delivered entirely by UWI, Mona. The Bursaries range from US$1,000 to US$5,500. Applications are still being considered.
