- Sports Enhancement Project -This Project, started in 2006 and lasting for a two-year period, has as it primary objectives:
- The upgrading of the physical facilities available for sports at Mona. So far, the football fields have been upgraded, including stands installed at the upper field; the swimming pool and changing rooms have been refurbished, the gym improved and the outside courts at the Mona Bowl and Taylor Hall re-surfaced. In the second year, a beach volleyball court and additional lighting was installed. Work to be done in the 08/09 academic year includes upgrading the cricket pavilion, the cricket field nd the running track, as well as improving the staff rooms at the swimming pool. Lightning and stands for the beach volleyball court are also to be installed
- Mobilizing students to greater participation in sports on the campus, including at the Hall and University level.
- Encouraging top sports students by way of scholarships and financial support.
- Scholarships are awarded to the sportsman and sportswoman of the year if they are returning to studies, and ten awards of $80,000 each are made to sportspersons across the various sports on campus
- The project is currently administers by Mr. Michael Clarke (SS & DM, Chancellor) assisted by Nyron Moris and Andenis Simms. The project thus has it's own web site
