The FYE Programme gave me the opportunity to build courage in speaking before others. You were encouraged to do so without any form of negative criticism. We spoke freely about current affairs and various personal issues. The FYE program has given me the opportunity to take my first trip overseas and allowed me to do so with persons I know and getting to know.    

The programme has facilitated my development as an individual both academically and non -academically. By incorporating guest speakers into the sessions I gained knowledge on topics such as making the transition to university and how to make and manage a budget.
