Bio:

Dr. Haughton is a Lecturer in the Department of Government. She lectures on Public International Law and International Security Issues.  Her interest lies in the fields of Security Studies, International Relations and International Law broadly but more specifically, the multi-faceted aspects of security threats affecting the Americas and the United Kingdom. She is currently researching security threats within a broad theoretical framework spanning Security Studies and International Relations Theories. Specific research interests include: Security threats, such as drug trafficking, Borders and Borderlands, Globalisation, Security and International Relations Theories and Diplomacy.
