Effective this semester, the Office of the Deputy Principal will be conducting the student evaluation of teaching online.  This means that students will be able to go online and complete evaluations for each one of their lecturers for this semester.

The UWI values feedback from each student since this is the primary way in which the University can continue to improve our teaching and learning process. This is an opportunity to let the lecturers and administration know what UWI is doing right and what needs improvement.

Please note that the student evaluation exercise is anonymous.

Why should you do it?

Your feedback is important to us at The UWI.  Student evaluation of teaching also forms an important part of our remaining an accredited institution.
 A summary of your evaluations is sent to the Human Resource department and to the Head of Department and Dean for appropriate improvement action and decision-making.

Where should you go?

We encourage you to go online and complete student evaluation of lecturers this semester.

• You can log on evals.mona.uwi.edu
• Username: your IDNUMBER
• Password: your date of birth. Format (YYYYMMDD)

When can you go on?
April 7 to April 28, 2014. The process will cut off right before the beginning of examination.

To reward students who participate in this exercise this semester, the Office of the Deputy Principal will be awarding prizes to students who have completed ALL due lecturer evaluations:

• The first 800 students to complete the evaluation of their lecturers this semester each will win $200 Digicel credit.

• 50 students will have a chance to win UWI Bookshop vouchers valued at $1500 each.

• And the grand prizes: 4 students will WIN a Samsung Tab 3 10.” Tablet each
