Plans are now in high gear for the 14th staging of the International Meeting of University Administrators (IMUA) to be hosted January 5 - 9, 2003 jointly by the University of the West Indies, Mona and the University of Technology, Jamaica. Over 200 delegates representing tertiary level institutions are expected to attend the event.  The meeting will not only be of importance to University Administrators but will also offer a unique opportunity to showcase the best of what Jamaica has to offer.  The IMUA is a leading world forum for the discussion of strategic issues relating to the Management and Administration of Higher Education. The meetings are organized by an International Organizing Committee based in the United Kingdom and by the Local Organizing Committee in the host country and are held biennially. The main theme of the 2003 meeting is “Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education”.  The theme reflects the current trend of forging strategic alliances to maximize resources and increase access to higher education.
