* A first degree from an approved university or hold equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board of Graduate Studies, University of the West Indies.

NB: In exceptional circumstances, experienced senior executives without the necessary academic qualifications may be considered for admission.

The Mona School of Business reserves the right to request additional information or to interview applicants irrespective of their academic qualifications. The School may also recommend that applicants consider placement in programmes and concentrations other than those for which they have applied.

APPLICATION
Your application form is a vital part of your University record and should be completed accurately. Where you are asked to indicate options, please do so, in order to ensure that we have full information about your preferences.An incomplete application form may result in rejection of your application.

 

Please note that your application form can now be completed online. Deadline for submission of applications is December 31 each year.

 

REFEREE'S REPORTS AND TRANSCRIPTS
Letters of Recommendation: In order to expedite processing you must ensure that your two Referee’s Reports are submitted in sealed envelopes along with your completed application form. At least one Referee's Report must be an academic reference.

Transcripts: You should make immediate contact with the tertiary institution you previously attended to request the timely forwarding of a copy of your official transcript to the UWI - Office of Graduate Studies & Research.Graduates of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus do not have to comply with this requirement.

 

INTERVIEWS
As part of the selection process, MSB reserves the right to interview applicants for further exploration of their qualifications and experience or to provide guidance on the programme options best suited for their profiles. You may be called for an interview, probably at short notice, in order to expedite the process.

  • All applicants are encouraged to apply early.

  • Only complete files are evaluated.

  • An application file is considered complete when the following documents have been received by The Office of Graduate Studies and Research:

    • completed application form in duplicate.

    • two referees' reports.

    • official transcripts from all tertiary institutions attended.

 

CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Accepted applicants must confirm their acceptance of our offer with the Office of Graduate Studies & Research by the end of April. On confirmation, registration material is mailed to students. Applicants who are offered a place and wish to defer their acceptance should submit a written request for deferral.

 

PAYMENT OF FEES
Students are expected to make the first fee payment by April.

 

PLANNING
Once you have applied you should begin to plan for the possibility of being accepted. Critical actions include mobilizing funds and arranging for leave to cover the periods of full-time study. Consult the calendar of important dates noting that all EMBA and MBA programmes will begin in MAY of each year.
