Research Project Collaborations

The UWI School of Nursing, Mona is collaborating with several Universities in the following research projects:

“Development and Testing of a Jamaican Mother-Daughter HIV Risk-Reduction Programme” in collaboration with New York University College of Nursing and the University of Pennsylvania. The project is funded by the National Institute for Health. The duration of the project is 4 years (2007-2011).

"Strengthening Nurses' Capacity in HIV Policy Development in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Caribbean" in collaboration with the University of Ottawa School of Nursing and Great Lakes University of Kisumu. The project is funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) on behalf of the Global Health Research Initiative (IDRC, CIHR, Health Canada and CIDA). The duration of the project is 4 years (2007-2011)

Rennovations Underway

Building expansion of The UWI School of Nursing, Mona has commenced since Monday, November 26, 2007.
