Student Learning and Development through Placement and Careers

Placement and Career unit focuses on presenting meaningful activities and programmes geared at enhancing the students' career development and job-hunting skills, thereby preparing students for the world of work and indeed for life.

The Office of the Director of Student Services, the Placement and Career Services Board, as well as the ‘Friends of Placement’, continue to play a vital role in advising and assisting with the delivery of programmes.

Annual Orientation Seminars

Placement and Career Services has annual orientation seminars which form part of the general orientation programme. The seminars were held to assist first year students to match their subject choices with their career objectives and were delivered in collaboration with members of the Public and private sectors, the Faculties of Arts and Education, Pure and Applied Sciences and Social Sciences. Medical Sciences and Law were not included as career choices in those faculties are pre-determined. Members of the Office of Student Services facilitated the seminars.
