Public Lecture - Dr. Frederic Dondin

Event Date:
Thursday, May 17, 2012 - 1:30pm to 2:30pm

The Physics Department is pleased to present
"Numerical simulation of a volcanic submarine landslide-generated tsunami at Kick'em jenny volcano: source and propagation"
by
Dr Frédéric Dondin , Post-Doc in Seismic Research Center (SRC)
on
Thursday May 17th 2012,
in the Seminar Room at 1.30pm

Dr. Dondin has a PhD from the University of Antilles Guyane (UAG, December 2010). He has done most part of his studies in Earth Sciences in France. He completed his BSc at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris IV), and his MPhil at the University of Rennes I , Brittany.

His passion for the volcanoes pushes him to specialize in this field. His many missions in Montserrat at the MVO give him a large field experiment. He completes this skill with a very good experience in numerical simulation of rheological flow.

His research drove him to study submarine volcano, landslide of debris and generation of tsunamis and their propagation
