Materials Science
For students beginning their UWI journey (All Level 1 students) in the 2011/12 academic year, the major that applies to you can be found here.
A Major in Materials Science requires 32 Part II credits consisting of twenty-four (24) credits from the following Core Courses:
Level 2
Level 3
- PHYS3399 Research Project (non-Electronics)
- PHYS3560 Materials Science II
- PHYS3570 Materials Science III
Plus
Eight (8) credits or any two or three (2/3) of the following Elective courses, of which at least one (1) must be from Level 3:
Level 2
- ELET2420 Semiconductor Devices
- PHYS2290 Introduction to Medical Physics and BioEngineering
- PHYS2395 Computer Applications in Physics
Level 3
A Minor in Materials Science requires twenty (20) credits of the following Core Courses:
