An inaugural batch of students were welcomed to the Physics Honours Society (PHS) on Friday September 25, 2009 on the basis of their academic performance in the 2008/2009 academic year. The students were invited to a breakfast launch in the Department where the aims of the Society were outlined as well as the benefits to being in the Society. They were also encouraged to continue striving for excellence. More details about the PHS can be found in the Physics Honours Society Brochure.
PHS members will continue to meet for monthly breakfast seminars in the Department for the duration of the semester.
