The Physics Department, UWI Mona Campus is running a three week Modular Certificate Course in Alternative Energy from July 12 - 30, 2010. There are three modules, each independent of the other, consisting of a series of lectures, a field trip and a practical exercise.
Module 1: Solar and Wind Energy and their Applications (Week 1)
Module 2: Other Energy Forms - Hydro Power, Biomass & Biofuels and Nuclear
Energy (Week 2)
Module 3: Industrial considerations and applications of Alternative Energy
(Week 3)
The course is open to everyone, high school students, industry professionals or just individuals interested in learning about alternative energy.
