This course provides for an analysis of electrical power systems and includes stand-alone and grid connected systems, generator characteristics, networking, load flow analysis, and power electronic interfaces. It describes the various policies and economics that are related to integrating different energy sources. Students will be required to perform an investigative study of the latest developments in integrating alternative energy sources and the policies that guide them.
