Creativity and Innovation Management for Entrepreneurship

This course will introduce students to the concepts, practices, opportunities and challenges of operating under uncertainity and the role of creativity and innovation management in doing so.  The course will provide a framework and tools that will help the participants to be more effective in adapting to change and innovation in the market place.  Additionally it will provide the opportunity for them to examine case studies of innovation management, and learn from the best practices employed.  Students will gain a better appreciation of the issues surrounding creativity and innovation management in entrepreneurship and its role in establishing a durable dynamic for development especially among MSME.  Some of the areas to be covered in the course include: Principles of Innovation, Fundamentals of innovation, Embracing uncertainity, managaing for innovation, taking a strategic approach, building effective implementation mechanisms, adapting and shaping technological changes and the role of government in innovation.
