In this course students will develop the ability to use Spanish in unstructured and unforeseen situations. They will apply what they have learnt at previous levels by simulating life in a hotel/restaurant/tourist attraction etc. within the classroom setting and by role-playing activities.
At the end of the course students will be able to do the following in Spanish: Discuss past and future events, Explain the importance of the principal operators in the tourism sector, Provide general information on hotels, activities in the town/city and attractions, Discuss the future of tourism, Talk about the problems facing the tourism industry, Make applications for a hospitality-related position, Give advice and suggestions to tourists e.g. places to visit in the island, where to eat, what to eat, what to do and what not to do as a tourist.
