Dr. Camella Buddo joined the staff of the Department of Educational Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in August 2002. She holds the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics Education from the University of the West Indies. Her main area of research interest is the teaching and learning of primary and secondary school mathematics, and her research profile to date includes:
Evaluating the teaching of primary school mathematics at the Grade 4 level
Exploring the views of some Grade 11 students in their learning of mathematics
Dr. Buddo's main teaching commitment is in the area of mathematics education. She lectures mathematics education courses to students pursuing Masters degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in secondary mathematics education. She has written several secondary mathematics education course materials for on-line delivery, and has served as external examiner for other mathematics education programmes.
