Mission Statement

The Mission of the Department of Management Studies at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies is to be the premier provider of academically-oriented management education within the Caribbean region, and to be a leader in the provision of such education among developing countries.

To this end, in addition to its commitment to managerially-oriented research, the Department seeks to offer a teaching curriculum which will produce students who have well developed analytical and technical capabilities, intellectually adaptive thought processes and an orientation toward life-long learning, allowing them to become effective management and accounting practitioners and researchers.

Mona Team declared champions of FCIB/ UWI Case Analysis Competition

For the third consecutive year, the Mona Team were declared the champions of the First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) & UWI Inter-Campus Case Analysis Competition held at Mona on June 2nd 2009.
