This research is aimed to explore the effects of low-dose bisoprolol on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and ventricular remodelling and found that Bisoprolol can inhibit the RAAS and reverse ventricular remodelling.

Due to aging of population, number of elderly hip fracture incidence gradually increases, with an average growth rate of 1% to 3% per year, resulting in a serious impact on health of the elderly. The study was designed to explore effect of persistent family rehabilitation guidance on the elderly after hip re-fracture surgery.

Objective: To explore effect of persistent family rehabilitation guidance on the elderly after hip re-fracture surgery.

Methods: Conclude specific methods of persistent family rehabilitation guidance for elderly patients with hip re-fracture, observe patients’ hip joint function score, understanding towards rehabilitation knowledge and other indicators.

Failed Tracheal Intubation in a Child with Unrecognized Hunter's Syndrome Having Emergency Surgery

We report a child with unanticipated Hunter's syndrome who, while under general anesthesia for an emergency surgery, suffered from an emergency difficult airway. As the child showed limited cooperation, general anesthesia was chosen.

We evaluated retrospective data of 35 patients who received endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) and found that EBUS-TBNA was a safe and effective procedure for the diagnosis of stage I and II thoracic sarcoidosis.

Use of Cystatin C in the Early Diagnosis of Contrast-induced Nephropathy

Synopsis: 
In this study, the Cys C level of the CIN group was significantly increased after 24 h or PCI, while the Scr level had no significant synchronic change, and the Cys C and Scr levels of the non-CIN group had no statistical significance before and after the opacification. The cut-off point value of Cys C was 1.50 mg/L, with the sensitivity and specificity as 85.7% and 82.4% respectively, suggesting that the serum Cys C concentrations had a certain value towards the early diagnosis of CIN, better than Scr, and is worthy of clinical application.

Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the application values of Cystatin C (cys-C) in the early diagnosis of contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN).

Survival of Cochlear Spiral Ganglion Neurons Improved in vitro by Anti-miR204 via TMPRSS3

The survival of cochlear spiral ganglion neurons was increased in mice with kanamycin ototoxicity whose cochlea were micro-injected with AAV1-anti-miR204, which suggested that anti-miR204 could be a potential therapeutic strategy in sensorineural hearing loss.

 ABSTRACT

Objective: Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) is caused by damage to hair cells followed by degeneration of the spiral ganglion neurons (SGNs) and cochlear implanting is an effective treatment. Unfortunately, the progressive hearing loss is still found due to ongoing degeneration of cochlear SGNs. The aim of this study was to investigate the neuroprotective effect of antimiR204 on SGNs in vivo.

Differences of Ventricular Late Potential between Acute STEMI and NSTEMI Patients

In this study, the positive rate of ventricular late potential was higher in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) than patients with NSTEMI. Close attention should be paid to these patients in order to reduce the occurrence of ventricular arrhythmia attack.
