This program is an excellent one and I feel privileged for being a part of it. It is a program that I think all first year students should be involved in. Thank you to all the persons that ensure the smooth running of this program. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. I have learned a lot and I will never forget the experiences. Thank you.

In the beginning I only joined the programme to be able to travel the Eastern Caribbean, not knowing that this amazing programme would change my life forever. Instead of getting just a trip, I got lifelong friends and I got an intelligent, motivating, jovial and inspiring facilitator whom I’ll never forget. I’m sure you know my facilitator was Sam McDaniel; who could it be? The First Year Experience was my way of taking the load and pressures of school off. I was so shy when I first joined the club-hiding behind everyone. I later became more confident because of the interactions in my group.

My Facilitator Simone always encouraged us to play a more active part in our learning. I was able to speak to more lecturers and also applied for my transfer to Physiotherapy. In FYE I was able to express my views about lectures, lecturers, study strategies, and how best to remedy the situations that were hindering our school work. FYE was a wonderful experience which I would recommend to any first year student who needs help adjusting or if they just want to meet persons and have a good time.
