Minor in Plant Biology

Students will be exposed to the fundamental principles in the plant sciences through practical and theoretical studies of the interrelationships between plants and their environment and the anatomy, morphology and physiology of higher plants.

Level I

A minimum of 24 credits from Level 1, 18 of which must be FST courses and must include:
BIOL1017 Cell Biology 3
BIOL1018 Molecular Biology and Genetics 3
BIOL1262 Living Organisms I 3
BIOL1263 Living Organisms II 3

Level II

A total of 15 Advanced credits from Part II which must include:
BIOL2403 Principles of Ecology 3
BOTN2401 Plant Form and Systematics 3
BOTN2402 Physiology of Plants 3

Level III

A total of 15 Advanced credits from Part II which must include:
BOTN3401 Principles of Plant Biotechnology 3
BOTN3402 Introduction to Plant Breeding 3
BOTN3403 Fundamentals of Horticulture 3
BOTN3404 Economic Botany 3
BOTN3405 Plant Ecophysiology 3
