The group is comprised of faculty members, technical staff, students and consultants all working towards the enhanced growth of renewables and pathways towards the transition away from fossil fuel based systems to sustainable forms of energy. Caribbean nations are making strides to mitigation measures in an effort to reduce their carbon footprint and incorporate  energy security security measures. Hence the AERG aims to strengthen this approach through the undertaking of relevant research questions and projects in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
